I'm in class and just discovered that the bearded gentleman sitting next to me is Mitch Kapor, founder of both Lotus Notes and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Cool.
Witnessed within 10 seconds at the 16th Street BART station this morning:
* a man recklessly riding a bicycle wearing a gold crown
* a woman in her bathrobe and slippers walking around the plaza
Mysterious.
I also love that the LA County district attorney suggested the death penalty for the moron who parked his car on the Metrolink rails intending to kill himself who then chickened out and caused the death of eleven commuters. Wouldn't it be greater punishment to let this idiot live?
Testing a new feature of Movable Type. Here's a pic of Neb and I at Halloween when I was a Weapon of Mass Destruction (which apparently we are no longer officially searching for anymore!).
I just raised my hand in class saying that I own a blog. Which is true, but my motivation is definitely waning to actually write anything. Graduate school sucks your life away (in a good way) and since I spend so much time studying issues that just aren't dinner conversation, it's difficult to find anything personable to write about.
Although my professor just mentioned that we might get Shawn Fanning, the creator of Napster, to come speak to our class on peer-to-peer file sharing. That's pretty cool. What's funny is that he'll be the youngest person in the room if he does in fact come to talk.
