This weekend was one of the best weather weekends I've ever had in SF. Here are some photos from Baker Beach. Amazingly, the beach was almost hot!

Coming soon -- Jen's Direction Page. (Yeah, it needs a better title.) An accounting of all the times I'm asked for directions. Today it was for the 58 AC Transit bus.
Ok! Up and running! I've missed you out there, whoever you are. Actually, I was checking the stats for this site and I must say I'm shocked -- SHOCKED! -- at the number of you out there visiting my little web home. You all rock!
Can I tell you a secret? I'm addicted to those single servings of Kraft Mac & Cheez. Those of you who know me know what a health food freak I tend to be. Well. Let me tell you that I have a utter weakness for orange pasta.
Marathon updates! Yes! People are wondering how the non-runner is doing. Well, I've doubled my distance from 2 miles to 4! This weekend I'm supposed to do at least 5 miles at Crissy Field. I may try to do a bit more. I'm also over halfway to my fundraising goal, so thank you, thank you, thank you, those of you who've already made donations. I'm running in the memory of many people so far! After my July 15th deadline I'll give a thorough accounting of what's up.
And look, here's DJ Rantz spinning at Dr. Bombay's last Friday night, along with mdc in the foreground. I really like this shot.

I'm getting ready to move this site over to Laughing Squid, which should happen any day now, so I'm not posting until then. (There's a reason, I promise.) Laughing Squid rocks! :)
Christ, between Amy Fisher and Pamela Anderson-Rock, it's clear the so-called journalism world is nuts. Let's hear it for celebrity one-hit wonders! (Ok, Pam's had a few hits, but she's only good as long as the surgeries hold out.)
Ah, so much talk today about the Webbys today. Adam and I went in 1999. It was fun, sort of. The guys from Google were cool; they accepted their award on rollerblades. But that was at the height of the frenzy, and I recall strolling through the post-party feeling vaguely bored by the amount of suit-and-tie dealmakers talking about the next new, new thing. Lots of style, no substance. Sounds like more substance this year, as well as a good reality check. The internet no longer dominates all of our lives. Good. Frankly, I like driving down the 101 now and seeing billboards with trashy ads for local radio stations, the Shoreline season lineup, and intra-California tourism (though the San Diego cell phone ring one is DUMB).
Quickly, I'm back from Yosemite and here are the photos! Arrrgh! So busy today!
So, apparently an Ivy League education isn't enough to help someone realize that Maxim is nothing more than Cosmo for dudes. The guy worked there for Chrissakes! I bet he went to journalism school.
I'm drawing a blank today. I think it's because I have *actual* work to do, and I need to, like, do it or something. Sigh. I'm going to Yosemite this weekend though. And running my first Official TNT Run on Saturday. Gulp. By this time next month I'm supposed to be up to 8-10 miles. Scared is what I am, yes indeedy. How is this possible again?
